Happy mid month reveal! As you are aware,
Scrap Around the World have two design team reveals a month. Here is the second ....... the mid month reveal!
And here is my creation from the awesome moodboard created by the very talented
Veera Saarivuo.
Such a soft pretty board, my challenge ..... scrap my son!
I'm not hung up on what can or can not be put on a boy page. My son is a beautiful person who has a soft gentle nature just like this moodboard. his soul is a very happy one and he has the knack of creating happiness all around him from the inside out!
I had such fun creating this page. I stole the chevron paper from my scrappy bestie Sandi knowing it would suit this board perfectly! The conversation pretty much went "Ooooh that's perfect ...... can I have it?" and she of course said yes :) as scrappy besties do xx
I added some gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard pieces coated in my favourite embossing powder Tinby Designs" Metallic Melts!
I incorporated the quote from the moodboard. I simply printed it onto photo paper in colour and trimmed the bits I wanted to add them to my layout.
I made the rosettes my self as I don't have a die for them. I simply cut a strip of paper and folded it concertina style then brought the two ends together and Hey Presto! a rosette.
I'm loving experimenting with different paper background designs. This one was purely an accident. I often "gather" all of my bits before I start creating. I had chosen my papers and had pretty much thrown them onto my table. I was then in the process of choosing my embellishments when I turned to pop some flowers onto the pile I was gathering on the table I saw that the papers had aligned themselves in this fashion. I simply swiveled the top paper slightly and BANG! it was done. I reached for the glue stick so quickly before it moved LOL!
