"Beauty in Simplicity" A Layout for VLVS

Hello! Today I'm here with you to share a layout I have created using some of the gorgeous rubber from Viva Las Vegastamps.

"Beauty in Simplicity"

I sued a water color stamping technique to create the background along with some sponging through one of my favourite stencils at the moment.

I stamped and fussy cut out the Squiggle Heart and Dressform and then colored them in with a coordinating paint color.

Some black splats and the Butterfly Specimen stamp with black ink finished it all off.

My Last 2Crafty Chipboard Share

Today I say farewell as part of the 2Crafty Design team. I have to say, this has been an amazing team to be on.

I have had so much fun sharing my 2 Crafty pieces with you all.

"Laugh Always"

"Mini Word Set 1"
"Word Circles Set 2"
"Circle Lace Panel"

I have to say that while I've been a part of 2 Crafty Chipboard my card making abilities have improved immensely! I know when I began this journey, cards were not my strong point at all but then I was inspired by all the amazing card makers in the team.

I still have a fair way to go to keep up with the likes of Margaret Misfud! But I feel much more confident making them now than ever before thanks to this design team opportunity.

For this card, I simply played around with my embossing powders and inks to make some interesting textures and finishes.

My next card was so much fun to create! After lots of stencilling and colour splashing on the background I began building it up with some paper flowers and metal embellishments.

"Treasure"

What I really love about the 2 Crafty Chipboard is it's ability to withstand not only water based products but also heat!

I always get pretty rough with my 2 Crafty chippy ..... it's ok it doesn't mind! and it has never failed me ... Not once. All the inking and splattering, heating and colouring it has never fallen to pieces and never ever broken off more fragile parts.

Look at the layers on this key ..... and yet it's still as strong as ever.

Vanessa you have got it right girl!! This chippy definitely ROCKS!!.

I'm really going to miss it but hey .... all good things must come to an end and you never know, I may be back one day.

Thank you to each and everyone of you for being so supportive and such a great bunch of chippy lovers.

Special thanks to Di Garling as DT coordinator for putting up with me (xx) I don't think I was too much trouble LOL!

A huge Thank you thank you thank you to Vanessa for all of the sponsorship and encouragement over the last couple of years. I really and honestly wouldn't be doing what I'm doing today if I hadn't been given this platform to launch from. Words are not enough xxx

Farewell my lovely peeps X

USA Fathers Day Blog Hop with VLVstamps

Welcome to the Viva Las Vegastamps Fathers's Day Blog Hop!

I have been waiting patiently for Fathers day to come around and then something happened! America celebrated their Fathers day ........ three months before we do here in Australia, but I didn't care. DeeDee said it was Fathers day and we were doing a hop. So here it is!!

I don't have very many photos of me with my dad as an adult. he doesn't like photos so it's been avoided for a very long time. but recently my step mum had a very severe stroke and has needed around the clock care just to live each day and my dad's perspective on life has changed drastically (for the better).

So when my sister was down from Sydney for her birthday last October, we went to visit dad and he very enthusiastically posed for a selfie with us. I had to be very quick before he changed his mind (baby steps) but we got the most gorgeous photo ever.

" Birds of a Feather" Created for 7 Dots Studio

Hello gorgeous peeps! I'm quickly popping in today to share with you a layout I have created using the latest collection from 7 Dots Studio "Homegrown".

This is me and the MAD AS girl Kelly-Ann Oosterbeek who I am sharing a classroom with at the Brisbane Scrapbooking and Paper Craft Expo this weekend!

"Birds of a Feather"

I love the softness and femininity of these papers. The little clear stamp hearts are so adorable. I black heat embossed them onto the background page and coloured them in red with some water colour paint. They came a up a real treat.

After adding some texture paste through the Floral stencil, I used the tags to back my photos. There is such an awesome selection in the Homegrown collection. I really found it hard to choose. I also love the sentiments on the word stickers. So many of them ring true for me. I can see me using them on everything!

I added some of the little chipboard, painted it with black water colour paint just to finish off this page. I love how the softness of the water colours make the chippy a slate grey colour instead of a true black. The Homegrown collection is stunning with grey as a neutral adjoining colour.

I finished up my page adding a little Um WOW Studio Homegrown flair and some black splats! This is a fun page and I really loved creating it. I just adore the new Homegrown collection. It has taken over as my new favourite for 7 Dots Studio.

Thank you for popping by and checking out my creation. I'll see you again soon.
