A Trio of ATC's for 7 Dots Studio

Hello my 7 Dots Friends. Fiona here with you today to share a trio of tiny Artist trading cards I have made to share with my fellow 7 Dots team members.

The beautiful Keren Tamir sent me a little ATC the other day all the way from Canada. She made it from our latest collections and it was so cute that it inspired me to make some more. Especially because I'd like to send one back to her.

I chose to use the stunning "Hazy Days" collection. Every time I pull out a piece from this collection it still takes my breath away. the colours are stunning and DeeDee did such a great job bringing my negative scans to life! I still can't believe how cool they look.

I did a little bit of gritty modelling paste scraping through the gorgeous birds on a wire stencil and some stamping to make the base of the cards interesting.

then I added some textiles for added texture and finished them all off with some Die Cut Elements, Stickers and word stickers.

Brave Heart a Journal Page For VLVS!

Hello my gorgeous peeps! I'm here today to share a journal page I have created with you all.

This time I have kept it classic black and white with one. the one is the pink and boy does it pop!

I wasn't too sure about this one when it first began. I was deliberately trying to not use too many colours so i started with the black.

Well actually I started with the white modelling paste through the stencil but when it came to adding colours I held back and started with the black then added the pink.

The stamping was sort of all ready in my head so it followed the black and pink easily. All that was left was to add a few pink details. The heart and her dress and one or two wings and it was done!

Process Video 7 Dots Studio Layout

I absolutely adore the colours DeeDee has embedded into this collection. They are so bold and beautiful and compliment the rusty browns and yellows she has used to coordinate  the design.

This layout was so much fun to create. I can't say I've ever combined these colors before in a layout. I was a little apprehensive to begin with but boy do i like the final outcome!

I have also recorded the process of me creating this page as a sort of tutorial for you to watch.

All in all it actually came together relatively quickly. I just love it when a page "gets it" and decides to just fall into place for you.

I hope you enjoy the video and are inspired to give this new collection a go.

xx Fiona

A Black and White Layout for 13Arts

Hello my beautiful 13Arts friends. Fiona here with you today to share a layout i have created using the versatile "Aria Story" collection.

I have to say that this piece of 12x12 paper " Sounds Good" is one of my MOST favourite pieces of paper EVER!

Teamed up with some black and white embellishments it makes such a classic, can't go wrong, black and white creation. I just love it.

I added some of the SPLASH! Black glitter Ink to the chipboard butterfly and the chipboard title. I love the way this dries so gritty and cool!
